Dr. Flanagan graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 1993. After graduating he and his wife Mylea, who is also a 1993 graduate of the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, moved to Ft. Worth and entered private practice. They moved to San Angelo in 1995 to operate Southside Animal Hospital owned by Dr. Guy Sheppard. In 1999 they purchased Southside from Dr. Sheppard and in 2006 they purchased West Texas Veterinary Clinic and built the current facility. The Drs. Flanagan have 4 grown children. They both enjoy living on their ranch with many dogs, cats, and a herd of Registered Southdown Sheep. When not working at the clinic, they enjoy family activities with their children as well as reading and spending time with their animals on the ranch.
