Southside Animal Hospital
About Us
Your Partner in Pet Health
Service for you and your beloved pets; for our local communities and counties. Southside Animal Hospital has been in operation in San Angelo for over 30 years. During this time, we have served thousands of patients and clients from San Angelo and beyond. We thank our clients for the continued opportunity to provide services to meet all of their veterinary needs. Our clients can rest assured knowing we will provide excellent service with the same professional attitude upon each visit. We appreciate our military families and are proud to offer a military discount. All of our doctors are members of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and a legacy of service through TVMA has been fostered at Southside. Dr. Mary Anne White was awarded the 2014 TVMA Recent Graduate Practitioner of the Year Award in part for her service to the association. She was also awarded the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine 2018 Rising Star award. We have AAFP Cat Friendly veterinary professionals & Cat Friendly advocates on our staff.
The Southside Animal Hospital family cares for your pet as if they were our own, and patient care truly is our highest priority with every animal we see. We want every patient to have the highest possible quality of life for as long as possible. Just because we can do something doesn’t always mean that we should, and we work with you to help make those decisions. Interactions in exam rooms and treatment areas, and during hospitalizations, are designed to be as low-stress as possible for everyone involved. We even have a separate feline-only waiting area and cat boarding & treatment room to help make our cat patients as comfortable as possible.
Education for our doctors, for our staff, for you: all to benefit our patients – your family member. Southside Animal Hospital highly values client education. We take the extra time to make sure you understand the “why” of everything we do and what we ask you to do at home to keep your pet at its healthiest. From puppy and kitten behavior to managing kidney disease or diabetes, we have doctors and staff that want to help you help your pet! Our doctors regularly attend continuing education (CE) meetings locally and around the state to bring back the best and newest treatment techniques to Southside’s patients. Our staff also undergoes staff training on a variety of topics from in-house discussions presented by the doctors to lunch-and-learn meetings about new products or techniques. We are committed to staying up to date and on the leading edge of veterinary medicine.
