Dr. White is the Managing Veterinarian and has been with Southside since June 2009, starting soon after she finished vet school. She grew up outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in Brusly and came to Texas as soon as she could to attend Texas A&M University for both her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Dr. White’s veterinary interests include feline medicine, especially nutrition and behavior, and internal medicine and dermatology. She and her husband David have a young son and 2 cats – Lily and Puffin. She grew up with numerous cats, one dog and spent school breaks on her family’s ranch in Columbus, Texas. She has been active in the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) and served as a district director and the committee chair of the Membership Committee. In 2014 Dr. White received the TVMA Recent Graduate Practitioner of the Year Award, and in 2018 she was recognized with the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences Rising Star Award. She and her husband are also active members of Sierra Vista United Methodist Church in San Angelo. When not working, Dr. White enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
